Anger is a natural human emotion present in different people at different levels from mild agitation to explosive outbursts caused by anything from annoyance at a specific person or an insignificant event. Valerian is another herb used for its calming ability to help treat anxiety and the feeling of being nervous.

The B complex vitamins are said to offer relief from a variety of symptoms that are suspected of causing potentially violent outbursts and are often used in an herbal treatment in anger management.

In addition to herbal supplements, many naturalists believe that mental training can help reduce the number and severity of angry outburst and with the use of natural anxiety-reducing agents can enable a person to calm themselves down before taking any action, verbal or physical, which they could later regret.

Some psychologists believe that a few people may have been born with a low threshold for handling frustration and will go off at being annoyed by events of even sounds and cannot tolerate being inconvenienced. Even minor mistakes by others will send them into an unjustified rage, but being unable to accept situations that may inconvenience them, the may believe that the situation is unjust to them, rationalizing their violent reaction.
