The Experiences Associated With Anxiety and Panic Attacks
You may find it hard to just live a normal life if you suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. This is very important because if anxiety and panic attacks are a frequent occurance, you may be missing out on very important parts of your social and work life.
When you start to have an anxiety or panic attack your body responds quickly to the anxiety provoking stimuli. THere will be something in your surroundings which will spark worry, anxiety or fear. For some people, panic attacks can have no warning, there may be no stimulus that causes their anxiety. You may find yourself scared and worried from the beginning of the day for no real reason and this will make it even more difficult to have control over these feelings. These symptoms start to build to a point where your body feels that it is in danger of some sort of outside situation. These feelings can then cause your body to react physiologically.
This simply means you will move from a state of calm to a state of panic. You may begin to feel physically ill such as nausea, headaches, hot flashes, chills and other physical issues. You may feel as though you are having a heart attack because your heart may begin to beat faster, you will feel tightening in your chest or feel heart palpitations. You also may feel as though you are having a seizure because if you experience enough anxiety, your body may react with involuntary movements such as twitching, jittering, or the shakes. These physiological reactions will make it difficult to bring your anxiety level back down. You may start to feel afraid that a more serious medical problem is occurring which can add to your anxiety and panic attacks.
Physical Reactions To Anxiety
The reason why your body goes into a physiological response when confronted with anxiety symptoms is because your body will believe that you are in a dangerous situation. Naturally, your body will try to either fight the dangerous situation or flee from it. Both of these ways to deal with anxiety producing stimuli involves your body getting ‘worked up’ so that it can be able to step up to battle. When worry or fear levels lower and go away completely, your body will return to a natural state of calmness and stability.
When you experience anxiety and panic attacks, the psychological and physical symptoms can make it difficult for you to drive, leave your house or engage in any activity. The sheer terror you experience can make you feel literally paralyzed and unable to move or lead to a general feeling of physical illness. This can cause you much distress especially if you are required to do something or be somewhere.
Some people who experience panic or anxiety attacks, have a difficult time joining in with day to day activities, for fear of having an attack. This makes life difficult because you can’t live freely and do the things you want to do.

Your doctor may recommend you seek the help of a therapist who is able to help you learn to control anxiety and lower the number of anxiety and panic attacks you have. Your doctor will be able to piece together the panic puzzle.
