Will Coffee Consumption Cause Caffeine Panic Attacks?
Is there a link between coffee consumption and panic attacks? Caffeine panic attacks will be the topic of discussion today.
Caffeine has a measurable and sometimes immediate effect on your nervous system. Its use is prevalent, and can be found in chocolate, medicine, candy, coffee, and more.
Caffeine will cause a temporary euphoria, coupled with increased brain activity, and an accelerated nervous system. Do you believe it possible, that there is a correlation between caffeine and anxiety?
Your brain’s adenosine level is temporarily reduced, each time you consume caffeine. The brain’s depleted calcium level is rapidly injected into your nervous system, causing nervousness, heart palpitations, or even headache.
Might you be experiencing a moment of déjà vu? Sounds like a panic attack.
Recently, Yale University and the National Institute for Mental Health, completed a study that shows caffeine panic attacks are the result of increased levels of caffeine in the body.
This comes as no surprise to me. The symptoms are identical for anxiety, as well as too much caffeine. If you have suffered with anxiety, you may want to find an alternative to caffeine, as it may cause the onset of a panic attack.
The likehood of caffeine panic attacks being trigged by coffee drinking is probable, when considering all of the resulting physical sensations, and the reduced levels of adenosine creating increased nervous system function.
Can caffeine panic attacks be cured, or avoided altogether?
You should begin by eliminating or restricting the amount of caffeine you consume. To reiterate, caffeine is not only found in coffee, but tea, soda, candy, medicine, and more.
Caffeine panic attacks can be triggered by the consumption of 200mg, although most will not see symptoms until they exceed 300mg. Giving up caffeine may be the answer.
Cutting out caffeine cold turkey may cause symptoms of agitation, so do this gradually.
If you have an anxiety disorder, caffeine should be largely eliminated from your diet. By removing caffeine from your diet, you will be able to isolate other causes of your anxiety. By eliminating things that aggravate your anxiety, you will see marked improvement in the quality of your life.
